Built in 1795 by Clayton Earle and Richard Stockton. At one time the area had a Sawmill as well. Earle also built Hanover Furnace in what is now Browns Mills just 2 years earlier. He sold it a month after he bought it and sold it to a couple of Philadelphia merchants, John Godfrey, and William Lane. A forge was built not far in 1810. There was fire sometime between the years of 1825 to 1829. Samuel Richards, who owned the property at that point, rebuilt the operation after 1829. It closed down after 1850.
